Have a vision in mind. I always start with one element, for this one it was a sparkly gold wedding dress, and a purple suit because I have never seen that combo before. I wanted something different.
Make a mood board and share it with potential vendors, and a couple you wanna work with.
We found Ashley and Nathan online by typing into Instagram places “Maui Hawaii”
She had tagged “Maui Hawaii” recently so we knew she was on the island. Then we just reached out to see if they wanted to do a shoot and they said yes and we delivered the rest of the details.
Lockdown that vendor team. The same way we found the couple is how you can find vendors. Look up “Maui Hair and Makeup Artist” “ Maui Florist” etc. The same way a couple would look up vendors for their elopement day. Reach out and let them know how it can benefit their business as well. If you go into it selfishly, no one can work with you. Offer to pay for their services because their gifts are valuable. You would want the same thing in return.
EXECUTE
Send over a finished gallery of everything to the team that helped you. Strategically market that new content, and next thing you know you’ll be on a flight back to Hawaii to shoot an elopement there again!
If you are ready to take your biz to the next level and break into the destination market, I am here to help you!
