It’s pretty much a 50-50 split about whether they knew it was happening that day, or whether they just knew that it was happening soon.
What Amy didn’t know on the day that they went hiking in Lincoln City was that at the top of the hill she was going to say “yes” to her forever man, and only have a selfie showing off that ring to prove what happened that day.
That spot was so important to them that when I asked where they wanted to do their engagement photos they said they wanted to go back to God’s Thumb to document their engagement again! I was all in! I love going back to a space where you have such beautiful memories to just document more memories professionally.
I picked them up at their house, we packed into my car, I put some Rose in my camera bag and made our way to the coast. We made the truck up the path to the highest point. It was muddy, we were boots, then they changed into cute clothes for photos, and had the most amazing sunset ever. That spot literally makes you feel like you were in Ireland.
We laughed, they danced, and their smiles were the most infectious things I’ve ever seen in my life.
I highly recommend going back to the spot where it all started, the document where it’s going, and then check out this post to see where it went on their wedding day.
