Cannon Beach Micro Wedding // Oregon Coast
Looking for an option of how to celebrate an intimate wedding on the Oregon Coast? Well, look no further, because I will show you how to do it.
However, I would never recommend getting married at a beach on memorial day weekend because it will be pretty much impossible to find parking, and rates for hotels will be quite expensive. Regardless, we made it happen, got yelled at by a sheriff, but then became friends with her on our way back which saved us from getting a fat parking fine. Humble yourself and just ask where you cannot park even if you are mad, it will save you a headache later.
We were pretty down to the wire when it came to coming up with an actual plan for their wedding, but it turned out beautifully. For these two, it was most important to have their friends there. Initially, they were going to have a wedding at Vernonia Springs and turn it into a weekend full of camping, fun, and adventure. So we just took that plan and revised it to be at the beach with hotel rooms versus tents. I’ve never felt so included at a wedding before then when I was with them. Their friends felt like my friends!! They were so much fun, and I actually got to photograph the officiant and his fiancé later that year in Bend at Mt. Bachelor.
Steph kept her key pieces to a wedding such as her photographer, her make up artist. And then did the rest herself. Literally, as we are packing up to head to the beach she was finishing her florals. And an accidental email on my end to her previous caterer prepping for the wedding day ended up actually getting catering for her day as well because their plans were canceled with the initial wedding they had that day. So see sometimes things work out even if it was an accident!
The Oregon Coast is the perfect place to have an elopement or intimate wedding with so many different pockets of places to say I do, and you can even forage materials to create an arch-like her guest did for their wedding the morning of.

Just go with the flow, and trust the process, and everything will be OK. And when in doubt just bring tons of wine.
