This is my first time on the East Coast, and let’s just put it this way, I was not ready to fly home after spending almost a week there.
My friend and I flew into Tampa Florida and found an Airbnb on a river that was minutes to downtown Tampa where we did our first shoot at Armature Works. This spot is a little tricky to find as it is located in a shopping mall and modern food court where the nightlife was poppin. Click here to see some behind the scenes from that day.
After spending a few days in Tampa we made our way over to Orlando, the home of Disneyworld where we spent an entire day at Epcot and feeling like we were exploring the world. What I love about Orlando is that there is SO much to do that you have to stay for like 2 weeks to take it all in and experience all the parks in the area. Plus, don’t forget about the beaches. We ended the trip at St. Petersburg beach before making our way to the airport. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves, let me tell you more about the Balcony.
The beautiful thing about this area in Florida is that you can have a ton of people in a space because buildings are tall, to have that big wedding you have been dreaming of. But then once it’s over, spend the next few days chilling on the beach feeling like you’re in the Caribbean even with the Atlantic Ocean being on your east hand side.
You cannot go wrong with a classic black and white wedding. It was elegant, modern, and high end. The palm trees remind you that you are on the east coast and not somewhere like Portland, Oregon, where I am from.
To all the Disney lovers, like myself, go get a four-day pass and spend the days before your wedding just living life and happiest place on earth, or even do that afterward for a honeymoon. That’s what Caity and Arthur did after their winter wedding in Bend, Oregon. Regardless, Florida is a place of fun, beaches, and the urban city feels.
