A Mojave Desert native living in Joshua Tree,  Alyssa is the funder, owner, and lead designer for Desert Rose Creative. Providing florals and styling for weddings of all sizes as well as planning services for elopements and tiny weddings. 

Having started Desert Rose in 2019 as a wedding planning service, Alyssa quickly learned her real passion lies with creating floral arrangements! She is extremely passionate about flowers and making beautiful things. And the best part of her job is making couples’ wedding dreams come true!

A floral design studio in Palm Desert, California, Luna Design Studios creates an incredible atmosphere that fits your needs and your style on your big day. Established in 1992, this team uses their passion and love for floral design to provide you with amazing arrangements that are trendy, unique, and will create lasting impressions for you and your guests. Shindig Chic

Founder + head creative Angelena is an Arizona native with a Southwestern soul. A visual designer turned floral designer, she launched Shindig Chic in 2012 to help those in love. Not afraid of any color palette,Angelena loves a challenge, is unusually left-brained for a creative type, known to be chatterbox & also a compulsive photo taker.

Angelena creates every bouquet + special piece for each wedding herself.  The team typically takes on only one wedding per day & offers a completely personal experience to each couple they interact with.

Their couples are their biggest inspiration. This team doesn’t believe any two weddings should ever be the same. Collaborating with their couples to take what they love most and put it into a unique design experience in order to create something truly personal for them.

Jimmy is a wedding videographer, based in Los Angeles, California who absolutely loves to travel.

The Quail And The Dove

Jim and Melissa Lakey, a dream duo husband and wife wedding filmmaker team. These two love shooting weddings in the desert that they call their home — Joshua Tree and Palm Springs — and are also partial to weddings at the beach. And in the woods. And in the city. When it comes down to it, they are the duo who will go anywhere.

Melissa is originally from Idyllwild, California, and Jim is from England. Currently they live on a mesa next to Joshua Tree National Park and have occupied this space since 2015 after a road trip around the United States. These two were looking for a place to settle down and get inspired, and the High Desert really spoke to them. There’s a kind of magic you can find in the high desert that attracts artists, musicians and all kinds of dreamers who like big skies, wide open spaces and starry nights.

Both having a background as filmmakers — it wasn’t until after their own wedding—that they decided they would love to use their skills to film other people’s weddings, capturing moments to relive for a lifetime.

It all began with a crazy dream of Stephanie’s to convert their tiny trailer into the cutest Wedding Photo Booth. To her surprise her husband was on board and now they are able to share their love of old and unique finds with couples all over California in multiple ways! How to Make Your Luxury Saguaro Hotel Wedding Unique

Jump in the pool!

If this is your vibe – be sure to think ahead and bring a few things with you! 

First off – be sure your venue has a pool. My personal top 3 favorite pool venues are Bougainvillea Estate, Villa Leche, Casa de Monte! Jumping in the pool makes for a memorable night and some truly incredible photos! But know you are going to be wet!! Bring some towels and an extra set of clothes to change into later on…. Unless you want to be taking the pool water with you every step the remainder of the night. 

A few extra pointers – if you want photos of this memorable moment, be SURE to get your photographer!!! We all know, when the night is feeling fine and the drinks are flowing, a good idea is just moments away from taking action. However, If you want photos of this “jump” with your crew – be sure your photog is set and ready to capture these moments! ALSO, just as important as the extra clothes is thinking about the season. The best months for this pool cool off are April – early October. Anytime after that and you may be a popsicle when you try to get out of that water!

Let’s be real here, the getting ready space MATTERS! It is where you have dreamt of getting ready with your closest crew since you said yes! With this in mind, ensure your venue has a space for you to have a mimosa and get those endearing progress photos or get a killer AirBnB with an aesthetic you’ll love for years to come. 

Perks of getting an AirBnB or boutique hotel you ask? First off, if you rent something like this for the whole weekend, you and your crew never have to pack your bags! You can get comfortable and cozy up in a place you will enjoy for the weekend of your event. This makes it so much easier to keep track of your belongings and, if it’s big enough, host that intimate after party.  Speaking of after parties, if you know your crew likes to keep the party going, it is important to note there is a 9pm county wide noise ordinance in the Palm Springs area. So if this is the case, ensure the place you rent has enough space inside to host those closest friends & family members who want to celebrate your love into the wee hours of the evening.
