Are you planning a big wedding? If so here are 3 things you should ask before doing so.

1. Can your venue accommodate all of the cars? Barn Kestrel is a perfect space to have a large wedding. It is basically a beautiful modern barn, next to this Historic Mansion, with a guest house that is stunning, but if I’m gonna be honest I probably would change the wall color from being bright yellow, and has stables where you can house the guys if you’re trying to keep them away from seeing the bride.  The best part, the amount of space that there was to park. Because it was basically like an upscale farm, if you can even call it that, there is this field where you can put all 250+ guest cars!! 
2. Are you going to have a coordinator? If you checked no to this, I am going to highly recommend you rethink that… Honestly, I don’t think I could have done it without my girl Morgan with MH Events. She did an amazing job making sure that everything stayed on timeline and was able to communicate with all the vendors because the space was so big and things were happening in so many different parts of the venue. Coordinators and planners are AMAZING, they alleviate all of the stress that you would have as a bride or groom on your wedding day. Remember that this is the day you want to celebrate WITH all 250+ guests who flew in to see you, and you don’t want to be thinking about all of the behind-the-scenes work. 
3. Is there room for a MASSIVE dance party?! You’re going to spend most of your day just chatting with all of your friends and family, but when it becomes time to get down and boogie you wanna make sure everybody’s on the dance floor celebrating your new marriage! Also, if you think you bought too many white claws, buy about 3 more boxes because they will be a hit & you don’t want to run out!

This is probably the largest bridal party that I had worked with, but they were all pros because they’ve been in so many weddings before. You could just tell how seamlessly they all got along and that their friendship ran deep. I truly enjoyed every second of this wedding day, even if I was exhausted by the end of it from sprinting from location to location, and trying to arrange a large number of people and all the different portraits. Once that adrenaline wore off when I got home, I think I just stayed in bed for about 12 more hours hahaha

Oh, one more piece of advice, make sure to create at least one intimate moment with you and the person you’re marrying. I’m so glad that James and Presley wanted to do private vow readings before their first look. With that many people, your day can become super overwhelming, but this was an amazing way to just slow it down and really soak in the fact that they were about to do the dang thaannnnggg!!
