No matter what type of environment you are looking for, we have it all! However, there are some factors to keep in mind when planning when you want to elope.
1. WEATHER: Best time to plan is during the months of June through October. They are least rainy months of the year.
2. SUNRISE AND SUNSETS: Daylight savings takes place in November and sticks around until March. AKA it gets really dark, and fast in that time period. June has the longest day of the year with a sunset after 9pm. Sunrises are breathtaking in the Columbia River Gorge.
Yep, you heard that right! What's amazing about the diverse landscapes in the Pacific Northwest is that you can be in the mountains in the morning, at a lake in the afternoon and end at the coast and only drive about 2 hours total.
But what does a day in Oregon look like? Here are some ideas: hiking at Multnomah Falls. adventuring around Cannon Beach, wine tasting in the Willamette Valley, camping at Mt. Hood, snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor, walking your dogs around Columbia River Gorge, and finish with dinner at McMenamins.
We may start as strangers but after just a short amount of time together we will feel like we’ve known each other for years. I cannot tell you how many times I hear this when we meet for the first time at your session “Oh my gosh, it’s so great to FINALLY meet you, even though I feel like I have known you forever!!” That is the feeling that people have because I invest right back into every single client and make sure that their experience is comfortable, joy-filled and true to who they are because I get to know you humans and not just as subjects in an image.
I am sure you have heard about these beauties, and if you haven't I am going to tell you what they are. Plus, I have been so fortunate to shoot in so many of these spaces and I would love to take you to them and capture you in each spot. The 7 wonders are: the Oregon Coast, Columbia River Gorge, Mt. Hood, Painted Hills, Smith Rock State Park, Wallowas, Crater Lake National Park.
Not to be bias. but anything in Central Oregon is AMAZING but the Columbia River Gorge is a second best spot.
